Kruger - a truly magical experience
Where better to do a safari then in a national park that is only slightly smaller than Belgium!! After being fortunate to experience Kruger multiple times, I still can't wait to go back.
Situated in the North East of South Africa bordering Mozambique and a 4 hour drive from Johannesberg.
This truely is a bucket list destination! Animals roam freely around this almost 2 million hectare national park, making every drive different.

With the sheer size of Kruger it is difficult to explore it all in one trip. You can stay multiple nights within the park and still be desperate for more, but that's the magic of this place.
There are various ways to explore Kruger. You can take guided day trips into the park, drive around yourself in a rental vehicle, visit for just a night drive or even hike your way through some of the most beautiful landscape that's bursting with life.
There are so many ways to experience safari in Kruger, let alone South Africa:
Self Drive - this might sound daunting but it real isn't and is such a magical way to experience safari
Guided Drives - sit back and let a guide drive you around the park on a day trip to Kruger, this is where private companies take you in and out of the park when the gates are open to the public
Night Drive - before and after gates closed the only way to experience Kruger is through the SAN Parks (South African National Parks) official games drives, these can be done from rest camps within the park or from some of the gates.
Hiking trips - feeling adventurous why not hike amongst the lions and spend 4 nights walking your way through Kruger.

Don't worry there is plenty of food options when it comes to Kruger. You might feel like you are all alone in the bush sometimes but approximately every 50km there is a rest camp which have a shop and usually a restaurant serving up some delicious options. There's also multiple picnic spots around the National Park where you can park up and grab a bite or even cook your own food on a skottle (gas canister attached to a large frying pan) or braai (South African for BBQ).
