What a city! It's not called the Mother city for no reason. 

There is so much adventure to be had and some much beauty to be discovered, every corner you turn can feel like anotehr postcard worthy view. 

From beaches, to mountains, to food and wine, Cape Town has it all. But where do you start and how do you make the most of your time here. Well I'm here to help, find itineraries and guides below along with some must see spots.

There is so much incredible food in Cape Town, you will be spoilt for choice. The food everywhere is incredible and with so many Michelin restaurants it is a foodies paradise. Personally a like good food in a nice setting, and some of my best Cape Town memories are doing our own picnics somewhere incredible. But that being said, here are some of my favourite are in the list below. 

• Tintswalo Atlantica Chefs Warehouse, Hout Bay ($$$)- All the Chef's Warehouses are incredible but the food, the cockatils and the view from here is a combination not to be messed with. 

• The pot luck club ($$), Woodstock

• Reverie social table ($$), Woodstock

• Mojo Market ($), Sea point 

• Kalky's, Kalk Bay ($)- fish & chips 

• Olympia bakery ($), Kalk Bay - small bakery tucked up a side street, great for a pastry to go on your way to Cape Point. 

• Constantia Glen, Constantia ($$)- if you visit in winter their mushroom soup was an incredible winter warmer. 

• On the rocks ($), Bloubergstrand - the view is incredible

• The Cousins ($), CBD 

• The Codfather ($$), Camps Bay

• Red Dumpling ($), Simon's Town

• Bennetts delicatessen ($$), Constantia

• Franks coffee & bagel bar ($), Muizenberg 

• The scone shack ($), Cape Peninsula 

Finding accommodation in Cape Town can be quite confusing as there are so many different areas to chose from. Areas that I would recommend looking at would be: 

• Camps Bay - amazing beach, lots of restaurants. 

• Clifton - higher end area, lots of million pound houses.

• Sea Point - In-between Camps bay and the centre, you have a lovely promenade that is great for a run or a bike ride. 

• Green point - the closest to the "centre", but that's not an advantage in a city like Cape Town, closest to the V&A waterfront but ... well the V&A didn't make my list of must do's in Cape Town for a reason. 

• Muizenberg - if you want a cheaper option. Closer to Cape point, Boulder's beach etc so even though you are away from the centre you actually are a lot closer to a lot of attractions. 

• A raincoat/windproof jacket - Cape Town weather can be unpredictable, especially if visiting over winter. Always be prepared for the wind.

• Changing robe/towel - with all the incredible beaches and wild swimming spots you'll always want to be ready for a dip. 

• You'll need clothes for the beach, hiking and going to nice resturants and sunny wine farms. 

• Travel card - most places in Cape Town only accept card these days. I would always recommend some cash but there is very little you need it for (car parking is one thing).
