Definitely check out the Pulse Therme in Banya, the Bansko one is apparently a glorified gym.
There are so many different pools, saunas, steam rooms, relaxation rooms, cold plunges and even a storm room. I definitely was running around for a good 30 mins just to discover all the different areas. There's even a cinema room that show both relaxation drone footage to the latest releases.
If staying later, they have a DJ and the vibe changes from serenity and relaxation to a more upbeat party atmosphere.
You have a few options, which include the transfer shuttle that is free but only a certain times of day, so check out the link below to see the free shuttle times.
You can drive, obviously this is a very easy option and easy to get to.
Taxi is your other option. Usually costs around 15EUROs each way.
They hold multiple sessions throughout the spa that are free to attend so look out for signs dotted around. They also advertise these next to reception desk on a changing monitor.
When we were there on offer was:
Floating Session - they close off one of the small pools and you you lilo type floaties to lie on. We had Marc who was incredible with running through the session and directing our lilos around the pool. This was so relaxing and I would definitely recommend.
Sauna Experience - a guided traditional sauna experience, with foot baths, sauna and then a cold pulnge in the outside pool to finish the session off.
Sound Bath - a guided meditation and sound bath in one of the relaxation rooms, very relaxing (except when Simon started snoring!).
You can either get 4 hour or all day tickets with the option to add "brunch" and a face mask. The "bunch" addition is a buffet that serves sandwiches, fruit etc from 11am to 7pm, so you can eat as much as you like.
Be warned that towel, bathrobe and slippers cost extra ... unless you bring your own. Definitely a reason to pack flip flops and a towel at least.
Deal alert!
I am actually gutted I didn't find this deal on Get your Guide when we were there, you get transports and entrance for 4 hours for less than it would cost you yourself!! Note this is for when there is 2 or more of you.
Prices as of February 2026.
Go early - if you want to make use of the spa facilities. We went for around 10am and it was lovely and quiet. There was so much space in every area, After around 12pm it was VERY busy, we did not on a Saturday which also happened to be Valentines day so I'm not sure how much of it was also that.
Later on there is a DJ and there is definitely a great vibe but its rather busy by this stage.
There are lots of relaxation chairs around the place by 1pm everyone was filled with a towel or some personal belonging (barely any people actually on them but it was very difficult to find a seat out of the water/stream room etc). Bare this is mind when there seems to be lots of chairs free when you first arrive - I was annoyed that we didn't just put our towels on one earlier.
The brunch option is a buffet open from 11am to 7pm which has sandwiches and fruit etc, also includes a coffee machine. We personally didn't get this option and after seeing I think we made the right choice not to do it but we were only there any mid afternoon, if planning to stay until late it is probably worth it.
