This is a beautiful old town with Cape Dutch architecture and is well known for food and wine. Surrounded by mountain ranges this is a stunning place to visit. There's lots to see and do in the area, see below for what I think is the perfect Franschhoek itinerary. 

Franschhoek is also famous for the wine tram, which I would highly recommend but don't miss out on everything else that Franschhoek has to offer.
